Re: What games are you playing now, and why?
So I finished the final story mission in Saints Row 2 a while ago. It went surprisingly smoothly on the final attempt. More importantly, last Friday night, I finally finished my first playthough of Crisis Core, and hard mode at that! Feels good to have finally finished it. Listening to the soundtrack now, there are some battle songs I can't listen to without hearing [Activating Combat Mode] at some point.
Also still playing KH BBS Final Mix extras and secret bosses. I intend to complete it 100%. Completed Aqua's story a few months ago, currently at one last boss in Terra's story (Mysterious Figure/Unknown), before finally moving on to the secret bosses in Ven's story.
I also started playing Mario and Donkey Kong minis on the move! Really enjoying it so far.

I don't think there are any huge differances. But I'm pretty sure the crafting is done differantly, which you might not care much about. I'd say the biggest thing, though, is that in the XBOX version, you have a limited world size, and on the PC you don't. Which I love! It makes it a lot more fun to travel around and pick your biom (and I'm not sure if you guys can pick big bioms, but I personally really like doing that if I have a particular biom I want to live in and have a seed for it) and if you like building big things, the unlimited is really nice, too. I've made some pretty huge things that I doubt they'd fit in the the current limits. Other than that it's just minor things that aren't the same like some bioms, some items (I think), and things like spawn limits. I also don't know if you guys can download maps or not, but that's something I do a lot on the PC versions for when I get sick of playing Vanilla, I can go play some Super Hostile or something ^^CraftyCreeper wrote:Minecraft for XBOX! I would love to try it on PC sometime soon but I'm not sure if it would be worth buying since I already have it on console.
Have any of you played it on PC or both PC and XBOX? What are your thoughts on the PC version?

Been getting into the beta of Neverwinter hardcore. I even made a second account just so I could play by myself (they only allow two character slots for free and my main account has a character in each that I only play with certain people).

I hate running into the building limits. I've watched some people play on PC and the crafting looks so much more fun when you get to actually do it yourself, if that makes any sense. As far as I know, there are no maps that can be downloaded for XBOX. I really would like to have a personalized skin as well. I might just have to play the PC version now. Thanks for your input!SheWhoRoars wrote:I don't think there are any huge differances. But I'm pretty sure the crafting is done differantly, which you might not care much about. Re: What games are you playing now, and why?
So in the early hours of today (12:29am, to be exact), I finally defeated the Mysterious Figure secret boss in Terra's story in KH BBS final mix! It took many, Many, MANY tries at the battle before getting through. It went surprisingly well too - the battle lasting just over a minute. I found it hilarious because, at the very end of it, I was on One HP, the boss was in Invisible mode (where you cannot lock on to him, nor see his health), I was just trying to dodge and collect my deck commands (which had just been knocked away by a certain attack), when I used Sonic Impact (an attacking extension of Terra's Dodge - Slide), accidentally hitting and defeating him! It took me by surprise, and I'm happy I have recorded it.

Well i'm waiting on furniture, but once it arrives I'll be back to (primarily) Ni no Kuni on my PS3 and Don't Starve on the PC.
I recommend both.
Ni no Kuni is one of the most beautifully and fluidly animated games I've ever played. The battle system is also fairly interesting.
Don't Starve twists the survival genre by having a "sanity" meter and a variety of crazy craftables, monsters and character lines.
I'm also playing Shin Megami Tensei: Soul Hackers on the 3DS - it's a remake of a game from the late 90's so nothing innovative or exciting but the voiceover/translation work is pretty good with the normal craptastic graphics in the SMT series lol

Re: What games are you playing now, and why?
So weird! This is exactly what happened with me and my boyfriend! I have the attention span of a squirrel hunting for nuts, but somehow I was able to watch him play Bioshock for hours on end. It was sooo beautiful and the plot and surroundings so great, that I just couldn't take my eyes off it. But, I can't play horror games. Can not, will not. I don't even like watching scary movies.Kareesh wrote:My husband and I are playing Bioshock Infinite. Well, he's playing it while I watch. We did that with the original because it was waaaay too creepy to play alone. This one doesn't seem nearly as creepy, though.
For myself, I've been pushing myself to beat the pile of games that I have. Currently, it's Dragon Quest VIII: The Journey of the Cursed King for the PS2. Though most of my free time has been devoted to my crafts, so not much game play time.
Skip ahead to Bioshock Infinite; which I finished in 3 days! And it only took me that long because I had to work, sleep, and eat. It blew me away! I have tried to tell people who were too scared to play Bioshock that there's no need to worry, but they never seem to believe me. So sad, because they're missing out on one of the best games ever!
I've been playing Dragon Quest IX: Sentinals of the Starry Skies on my DS. I've also been trying to get through Final Fantasy XII on the PS2, but I haven't picked up the controller in weeks because trying to get past the freaking Demon Wall in Raithwall's Tomb is giving me heart palpitations. It comes at you at like 100mph, how the heck am I supposed to outfight this thing?!

I'm so sad that I couldn't get into Harvest Moon. I love the concept and the gameplay, but they never had any tutorials and there was so much to keep track of. I gave up on playing it because instead of actually playing, I was spending hours looking through guides on how to play properly!SheWhoRoars wrote:Harvest Moon is one of those that is constantly being played :3 And I'm getting ready to replay Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance! I've also just started playing Sanctum, and it's been really enjoyable so far

Re: What games are you playing now, and why?
I finally finished off my second run of Fire Emblem: Awakening. I was shooting for a more completist game this time, and I got almost all of the support conversations filled in. I picked up every possible character, I put people through a ton of class changes, and I generally got my army so powerful that I could send in any single character to clear almost every map by him- or herself. I figure I'll put it down for a while, then eventually start a new game to get some more of those S-level support conversations in.
At the moment, my spouse and I are playing through FFVII again. Neither of us have played it since our kids were born. That's a long time to go without! And I just found Dirge of Cerberus in the used bin at my FLGS. I figured I'd better refresh my memory of the original game before playing the pseudosequel.

You have me interested in Ni no Kuni now. I know you're playing it on the PS3, but I don't have one, so I'm thinking of picking it up for DS. Do you think it'll still be good on the DS?kuja.girl wrote:Well i'm waiting on furniture, but once it arrives I'll be back to (primarily) Ni no Kuni on my PS3 and Don't Starve on the PC.
