Re: What do you do for work?
Currently I'm a stay-at-home mom to a wonderful, albeit sometimes trying, 2 month old. Although in the past I have worked at a book store, a theatrical supply store, and a grocery store (starting off as a bagger, then a cashier, and finally a worker in the salad bar area, which consisted of a lot more than just the salad bar).

I work take inbound calls for a company. I've been a cashier. I used to work at a party store and used to do Balloon Bouquets. That was a pretty neat job. I wish I could find somewhere that i could get a part time job on the weekends making balloon bouquets. that was awesome.

Re: What do you do for work?
Currently working through writer's block to finish submission for an editor but I have been: a video store manager, a magician's assistant, office monkey, personal assistant, manager for industrial scanning department, pizza place minion, underpaid temp, (err don't hit me) bill collector for credit card company, artist and special effects freelancer for hire. There's probably more but that's all that comes to mind at the moment.

I'm a manager of a party store (probably the same chain lol). Balloons are my favourite part too!berry999 wrote: I used to work at a party store and used to do Balloon Bouquets. I also am a financial planner (get you ready for retirement!), and I do party favours (for birthdays, weddings, showers, etc) on the side as well.

Re: What do you do for work?
I am currently in university taking a Computer Systems Technology course and planning to get a Bachelor's in Video Game Development in a couple of years.
But before that I was a fry cook at A&W for a year, a server in small restuarant for the summer and about three months ago I was a cashier at Superstore and in charge of the Jewellery Department/replenishment/cashier at Michaels (I was origanially there to help set up for grand opening but they decided to keep me), until I had to move two provinces over to go to school. As much as I enjoyed working at both places, I didn't think that the commute was worth it. I miss the discounts on my crafting stuff at Michaels though.

This is too eerie. The three of us in Iowa need to meet up. I may have posted in here before, but my job has changed recently so I guess a new post is appropriate. I am now an academic librarian at a large research university in Iowa (there are only two so you can probably figure out which). This means I get to work on a college campus and get the benefits of being a student without the stress of exams (there's other stress, but at least there are no tests!). I recently found out that one of the other librarians here does cross stitch but his work is very traditional. I showed him some of the stuff I've done and he thought it was pretty neat. It's always nice to find a fellow stitcher :)

Re: What do you do for work?
I live in Australia and I work at JB Hi-Fi which is basically a DVD/CD/Games/TVs/Cameras/Computers/Telco/everything else store lol.
But I work in the DVD and games departments which are the best. I love that our staff are all quite young (The oldest among us is 40something and most of us are in our 20s) so it makes for fun times =)
I haven't found anyone else who stitches though but I'm always on the look out! Plenty of other people who love games though!
