What they need to grow is unique views. Clicking is cool too, but its the view count that really does it. Then they grow up and you can keep them/name them/release them/whatever. Once grown they do not need to live in your sig unless you want to show them off, they wont need any more views

Ok, thanks for the lesson Pyper !!
But how do you "view" them if you don't clic... only by viewing the page where is your signature ? We'll get a lot of views so !

Earlier this site was suggested to me, it really helped me figure out what was going on with the dragon growth.

Hooray for new hatchlings!
Sadly, I don't think posting my dragons on Spritestitch is quite enough to get them to adulthood yet; my first batch of hatchlings hadn't grown their wings with less than two days to go, and I got worried. So I've been using http://draghatch.tk/ too. The nursery there seems to get them a good number of views without making them sick.

Re: So, I see you like dragons?
I said I started this as a test of the board page views and I wasn't kidding.
It really depends on what topics you post in and in how many topics you post in. I'm a fairly active member and I've never had an issue with dragons not getting enough views. I switch out my dragons as soon as I notice that they are full grown. This seems to happen after about 1500 page views (my two lowest are 1,585 and 1,526 with about 450-500 unique views). The one I had posted the longest as an adult was also the first - she got 1,922 views.
I've been MIA for a few days but just posted in 2 active threads. I fully expect my current clutch of dragons to finish getting their 1500 views by tomorrow.
Maybe this will encourage some of the "lurkers" to be more active participants? :D

The fluffy dragon is a Pillow Dragon and the hatchling you think is dead really is not dead. Here is the descripton of the egg: "This egg is stone cold and smells rotten."
