I will see if I can get you something Bears related (they are our sister team, after all, specially since they are in the NFC and the Colts are in the AFC). In fact, before the Colts came to Indy we were all Bears fans too because Chicago is a sister city to us (and close by as well).
That be awesome! I'd love you forever!! Interestingly I first supported both Bears and Colts then I focused on the Bears. I didn't know they were sisters!!
Thank insomnia and living alone with a tv for my now love of American football! I picked my teams at random, in the end I liked how they both played and I liked their names! But that was a long time ago!!
p.s could you explain the different regions for me? I've always speculated about them AFC etc..

Yeah I was glad I ate dinner before we left so all I spent money on was a couple of drinks, a bag of popcorn, and some nachos. lol

Basically, from what I know about it, things started off being just one conference (The NFL) but then the boss got a big head and one of his subordinates got tired of his crap and created the AFL because he thought he could run things better. They changed the names recently to the NFC and the AFC I guess to make it more clear that the NFL is still kind of the big dog and governs the rules for both to follow. I'm not sure how the teams get in one league or the other but, mostly, it's a geography thing. Not sure if teams moving to different states affect their standing in which league or not either (might be and thus why the Chargers are AFC and the 49ers are NFC even though they are both California teams). During the regular season each league plays others in their league to figure out where they stand that year until we get a winner in each division. Then the winner from each division plays in the Superbowl to see who reigns supreme! lol
I got nominated for the ice bucket thingamabob. On the one hand, I like supporting charities when I can afford to. On the other hand, I'm very muchly not into celebrity-driven fads. Do I do the challenge and donate money I don't really have to a cause I've never heard of? I kind of don't think so. Eh.

Lol BMH, I'm so tired of the ice bucket challenge. I bet if you asked half the people who did it, they wouldn't even know what it's for and I can guarantee even less than that actually donated anyway.
Current Projects:
Joan Elliot Geisha
Mega Peacock (page 3 of 40)
Sophie's Universe
Everyone here seems to be donating to different charities for it. They pick one they like, do the challenge, donate then nominate others to do it. The forfeit of not doing it is to donate more. Surely it's a good thing to donate more to charity not to be seen as a forfeit of not pouring ice water over your head.

I'm not a Bible thumper, but when I see stuff like this it calls to mind one of the few verses I do know:
So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
If you are going to donate, there is no need to let everyone know about it. Just do it.
I have heard of ALS (or Lou Gehrig's disease). I honestly am on the fence about it. Sure, it's great that it's being brought to awareness, but I dunno if I would donate to that particular cause. There are a lot more diseases/issues that I would donate to first, mainly because they are closer to my heart.
