With a baby on the way, I finally starting cross stitching some Christmas stockings. I plan to make 3 (one for me, my husband, and the baby) and hopefully will have them done by next Christmas.
Here's the start of mine. I decided to do the backstitching as I go, so I don't have to feel blocked by it at the end.
And, because one new giant project is never enough, I got the yarn yesterday to start my Baby Yoshi granny square blanket. So far I've finished squares for the red shoe, and tried out several different methods for connecting them until I came up with one that I liked best.
Will I finish the blanket before May? If my last crochet blanket is any indicator, NO, lol, but this one doesn't have crazy yarn cross stitching involved so who knows. And it's fun to piece it together as I go! Same thinking as the backstitching; I'm tucking the ends and piecing rows as I make the squares so when I'm done, I'm actually done.
Oh... and the Craft Hackers quilt-a-long... still haven't started my December square as I've been spending time on these projects. I do intend to keep up though, so since I have next week off maybe I can get started on that.
Have my 20 week ultrasound next week as well, so I should get lots of good pictures of baby girl!
