Welcome...
no idea how this will work in here...I imagine people will post things they'd like to trade?

Re: Welcome...
This promises to be exciting.... I'll post something up once I get it made this summer.
I'm guessing people will post threads for each of their items, and either through pms or comments people will link to their own stuff or post an image of what their proposing to swap.

Re: Welcome...
it's strange because me and my girlfriend were talking about this a few days ago and we were gonna message you about it!johloh wrote:yeah im excited to see where this goes.
can't wait to see what people start making for trading.
we had an idea for a trade where:
1, you set up a playing card size stitch along (where everyone does a piece the size of a standard playing card, or if using perler beads, postcard size)
2, all that enter get a secret number that goes in a hat
4, everyone is given a number to send their work to, but are not told who's got whose number
4, then when all that enter are finished they send their work to someone else so everyone gets a surprise when it comes!
it was only an idea but let us know what you think.

Re: Welcome...
yeah i used to be part of an Artist Trading Card forum where there were a few different ways of trading, one of them like my gorgeous boyfriend just explained,Holder of Anime wrote:it's strange because me and my girlfriend were talking about this a few days ago and we were gonna message you about it!johloh wrote:yeah im excited to see where this goes.

another method was Play It Forward (PIF) swaps, where someone would offer something to trade, then someone would claim that and offer something for the next person, and so on and so forth

For example:
Thread: PIF Pokemon Stitched Sprites
Person 1: I offer a stitched Bulbasaur sprite, measuring roughly 5x5 inches
Person 2: Can I please claim your Bulbasaur?
I offer a Jigglypuff stitched sprite
Person 3: I'll have your Jigglypuff please!
Who wants an Onyx stitch?
Just another idea as to how trading could work technically! Obviously addresses would be sent privately, and they don't need to be themed either.

Re: Welcome...
those are both good ideas. I would totally do either one. I think the playing card one would make sense as a monthly challenge...

Re: Welcome...
We could always do a monthly challenge of playing cards. Where if you had to lottery out 54 places and everyone has a particular card assigned to them. We could have a deck of sprite stitched cards.johloh wrote:those are both good ideas. I would totally do either one. I think the playing card one would make sense as a monthly challenge...
